Curraghmore Casks Update

We’re thrilled to share that our Curraghmore oak casks—crafted from sustainably felled Irish oak grown right here on the estate—have been carefully seasoned in Spain and are finally ready for use. This marks a significant milestone in our pursuit of a truly single-estate whiskey, from the premium grain we grow to the wood that nurtures our spirit.

What makes this even more exciting is that these 30 casks are returning home after their maturation in Spain, each meticulously prepared to enrich the distinctive character of Curraghmore Whiskey. As soon as they arrive back on the estate, we’ll begin filling them, allowing the whiskey to develop its depth and complexity in the very oak that originated here at Curraghmore.

Why This Matters

Our casks are grown on the same land as our grain—an unparalleled provenance no other Irish whiskey can match. This exceptional synergy between the land, the grain, and the oak captures the essence of Curraghmore’s rich heritage, soil, and environment.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to sustainability, authenticity, and quality, ensuring that each step of our process is imbued with the estate’s unique character. Stay tuned for more updates as these very special casks return and we continue shaping a whiskey that truly reflects the heart of Curraghmore.
