We are proud to confirm that Curraghmore Whiskey’s Inaugural Release has been awarded Bronze in the IWSC Awards 2024, in the class Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Unpeated.

The IWSC is the world’s largest and most influential spirits awards, and this year 100 international judges gathered in London to taste over 4,000 spirits entries from around the world. The IWSC judging team comprised of Master Blenders, Master Distillers, Buyers from on-trade and off-trade, Spirits Educators, Consultants and renowned Spirits Communicators. The judging team felt that the Irish single pot stills showed “real promise and superb quality”, with 3 gold outstandings awarded. More information about these awards can be found here.

We are honoured to see Curraghmore Whiskey lined up with the finest brands in Irish Whiskey, and we’d like to congratulate the other entrants on their excellent results.

The judging team deemed the tasting notes in our Inaugural Release “Fruit-Driven with sweet tropical fruit and butterscotch notes. Defined spice finish”

It was awarded a score of 89. We are over the moon with this result, and would like to thank the judges for this honour.

This award will go pride of place alongside our recent mention in the Whisky Bible – read more about this here
