A Celebration of Provenance and Craft

On a crisp autumn evening recently, the stone vaults of Dublin’s Mint Bar provided a distinguished setting for the launch of the 2025 Triple Cask Edition. Collectors, trade partners and friends of the estate gathered to raise a glass to the newest expression from Curraghmore Whiskey.

Though hosted in the city, the evening belonged to the land. This was not just a product launch, but a tribute to Irish agriculture, time-honoured farming, and the enduring value of traceability.

From the Estate. For the Glass.

The 2025 Triple Cask Edition is a genuine Single Estate Pot Still Irish Whiskey – a distinction few can claim with authenticity. Every grain of barley and oats used in the release was grown and harvested on the Curraghmore Estate in Portlaw, County Waterford.

Curraghmore is Ireland’s oldest continually inhabited family estate, established in 1167. Its 2,500 acres have been worked for over 850 years  –  and today that same land produces a whiskey that reflects both its terroir and its history.

At the heart of this process is Ned Morrissey, Head of Tillage at Curraghmore and an award-winning grain grower. Ned addressed guests on the night, speaking passionately about the future of Irish tillage.

“If we want a resilient Irish food system, we need strong tillage,” Ned said. “That means recognising the value of Irish grain — grown here, processed here, and celebrated here. Brands like Curraghmore that stand behind Irish farmers are part of that future.”

Mastery in the Cask

Triple distilled at Great Northern Distillery, the whiskey is matured under the expert hand of Noel Sweeney, Master Blender and Master of Maturation at Next Level Distillers. As Curraghmore’s consultant on bottling and cask management, Noel ensures each release reflects the character of the land from which it was born.

This edition has been matured in three select casks: Virgin French Oak, ex-Oloroso Sherry, and ex-Bourbon. The result is a richly layered whiskey — elegant and complex, with notes of sweet oak, orchard fruit, malt and a velvety finish.

The New Design

This release also introduces our new presentation, which marks the culmination of a two-year process. Our ambition was to elevate the brand and packaging to a level that truly befits the spirit within the bottle.

To achieve this, we engaged in close collaboration with the esteemed creative agency Here Design in London, and received invaluable support from Bord Bia (The Irish Food Board).

The result is a bespoke bottle, weighted and shaped for purpose, and proudly embossed with the crest of the 9th Marquess of Waterford. This is presented in a newly designed, cotton-touch, gatefold box that opens from the centre—a design that subtly echoes the welcoming gesture of the estate gates themselves. It is, in all aspects, a vessel designed to honour the liquid it holds.

A Limited Release

Only 2,400 bottles of the 2025 Triple Cask Edition have been produced. With 1,900 already allocated to international partners, limited bottles remain for the Irish and UK markets.

Our Inaugural Release in 2023 sold out completely and is now a sought-after collector’s item. We anticipate that this 2025 release will follow a similar path and will also sell out shortly.

This is a field-to-glass whiskey in the truest sense – a rare, collectable expression from Ireland’s oldest estate. For those seeking a meaningful Christmas gift or a whiskey with integrity and heritage, the 2025 Triple Cask Edition is now available.
