Our 2024 highlights
2024 has been a year of milestones and moments for Curraghmore Whiskey – a celebration of innovation, tradition, and global recognition. Here’s a look at the highlights that defined this remarkable year.
1. Celebrating Our First Legacy Cask Bottling
2024 saw the first of our Legacy Cask members, Francis Brooke, bottling their whiskey – a milestone that brought Curraghmore’s vision full circle. After years of careful maturation and meticulous sampling, the time had come to bring this exceptional spirit to life. The bottling process was conducted with the utmost care here in Waterford, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Custom labels were designed to commemorate this historic moment, creating a truly unique piece for Francis to cherish.
What makes this even more special is that every grain used to craft this whiskey was cultivated on our estate. From seed to bottle, we have complete control over the quality and consistency of our spirits. This dedication to single-estate production ensures that each sip is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence.

3. Craftsmanship at Home – Harvest & Barley
A deep connection to the land defines our story. This year, the harvest of Curraghmore barley marked another step in our commitment to quality and provenance. Our barley grows sustainably on the Curraghmore estate and speaks to a tradition of Irish agriculture, blending history with the future of fine whiskey-making. Read more about the Harvest here.
4. Award-Winning Recognition
Our Inaugural Release received remarkable recognition this year, earning a Bronze Medal at the IWSC Awards 2024 and a glowing mention in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. These accolades reflect our unwavering focus on quality, delivering whiskey as refined and distinguished as its roots. More about this here and here.
5. Sustainability and Innovation
Our focus on sustainability led to crafting casks from naturally felled Curraghmore oak. These unique casks further our dedication to innovation while respecting the estate’s natural resources.
